Wish We Could Be There: ShatFest 2011!

It's No Shat Attack 4 Poster, but still Boss

Couldn't make Shat Attack 4?  Have no fear, the Psychotronic Film Society of Savannah is holding their annual Shat Fest this Sunday at the Muse Arts Warehouse at 2 PM - 10 PM.  No Trek, just classic Shat; the lineup includes Alexander the Great, Impulse, Incubus, and Kingdom of the Spiders. $7 per movie or $20 bucks for an all day pass aka Apocalypse Shatner Mega-Passes!

Connect Savannah has a nice interview with Psychotronic Film Society guru Jim Reed and we Shat Attackers really appreciate his attitude towards The Shat in these gems from The Lost Years, "I truly love William Shatner...The real idea behind this marathon is to show ‘the best and the worst' of Shatner's film career, through some of his rarest and/or most underappreciated movies...Some of these are legitimately campy and laughably bad (like Impulse, for example) - but most of that is not due to Shatner himself. He turns in solid performances. It's just that the settings or the material is atrocious, because those were the only parts he could get after being typecast as Captain Kirk."

Amen sir.  You've pretty much summed up exactly how I feel about the man, and that's what I've always tried to convey with my own Shat Attack events.  The Psychotronic Film Soceity will also be selling limited edition (only 100 available!) ShatFest teeshirts.  For more information visit their Facebook page.  I really, really wish I could make it...maybe next year.
