My favorite Mondo Shatner Blog, Shatner's Toupee recently posted a rather fantastic dissection of the General Motors Theater (aka Encounter) production of Billy Budd starring Shatner as the young seaman. I've never seen the production, but Shatner's Toupee has some nice clips and some rather fantastic photos. My favorite fact taken from their article is that Billy Budd "is the only example we have of Bill Shatner altering the color of not only the sides but also the top of his own real hair."
